Frank Zgabay Jr. October 6, 1924 – April 2, 2015 Frank Zgabay Jr, 90, of Bryan, went to be with his Lord on April 2, 2015. A time for family to receive friends will be from 5:00 -7:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Hillier Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 E. 26th St in Bryan, Texas with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Frank Zgabay Jr. was born on October 6,1924 to Frank Zgabay and Julie Barton Zgabay in Deanville, Texas. As a young boy he attended a country school in Burleson County, Texas. Frank Zgabay was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan. Frank and his wife Alma enjoyed going to their farm in the country at Deanville. He enjoyed gardening, raising hogs and cattle. He was a man that was devoted to his family. He was an employee of the City of Bryan for over 20 years where he retired. He also worked for Gilmore Electric as an electrician. He served his country in WWII in the Pacific Theater. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years Alma Schulz Zgabay. Brother, Louis Zgabay, Sisters, Mary Hejl and Martha Charanza. Frank leaves behind two sons, Harold and wife Penny, Tommy and wife Carla; daughter, Pamela Naibert and husband George; sister, Lillian Faust ; grandsons, Bruce Zgabay, Chad Zgabay, Brad Zgabay, John Zgabay,Todd Zgabay ; granddaughters, Terri Zgabay, Kristian Zgabay, Melissa Naibert, and Susan Naibert ; and 13 great-grandchildren.
