Thomas Walter Lee
October 31, 1934 – April 4, 2015
Thomas Walter Lee, 80, of Hilltop Lakes, went to be with his Lord on April 4, 2015. Tom was born on October 31, 1934, to Sam Henry and Edna Isabelle (Laughlin) Lee in Pasadena, Texas. He graduated from Pasadena High School in Pasadena, Texas in 1953 attended San Jacinto Junior College. After high school, Tom entered the Texas Air National Guard and then the US Air Force. After a full career in the oil refining industry, Tom retired in 1980 and began his own business in golf cart sales and service.
Tom was an active member of Hilltop Lakes Chapel. In his local church, Tom served as a Stephen Minister and a member of the mission board. He was also a 55-year member of the Masonic Lodge, including his time as Master Mason. Tom had a love of the outdoors. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, shooting, and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Carolyn Lee and Hinda Cates; and brother Dan Lee.
Tom leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Ruthie; children Sharon Loftis, Melinda Blair, Peggy Hines, Cindy Lee, Thomas Lee Jr.; brother Sam Lee; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews; friends and neighbors; and fellow church members. Tom also leaves behind close friends Darrell and Stacy Post.
