William Adams III
October 19, 1948- August 21, 2015
William (Bill) Barry Adams III of Bryan, TX, dedicated husband, father and grandfather, passed away on August 21, 2015 in Kingwood, TX at the age of 66. A time for family to receive friends will be from 6-9 PM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. A rosary will be recited at 7PM . Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, August 28, 2015 at St Joseph Catholic Church, in Bryan with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery in Caldwell.
Bill was born in Morganfield, Kentucky on October 19, 1948 to Major William and Nan Adams. After graduating from Buena Park High School in 1966 in Buena Park, California, he served in the US Army in Korea including service on the DMZ. While stationed in Fort Hood, he met and married the love of his life, Annette Marie Rosas on March 7th, 1970 in Killeen, Texas and remained in Texas for duration of his life.
Bill served the Bryan/College Station community as General Manager for All Seasons Commercial for 13 years. Prior to that he worked for 30 years in various positions including Production Manager of the Extrusions Division at Alenco Windows and Doors.
Anyone that knows Bill has a story to tell of fishing, grilling, rebuilding or repairing cars, travelling, and helping others reach their full potential. He was an avid storyteller, had a gift of making others laugh and enjoyed the company of his friends and family.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents William and Nan Adams, his twin sister Nancy Adams Merriman and his sister Debbie Adams.
Survivors include his wife Annette Adams, son William (Bill) Adams IV, daughter Kelli Adams Stein and Richard Stein, grandson Nicholas Stein, sisters Anita Johnson of Portland, Oregon, Murphy McDowell of Anaheim, half-sister Patricia Pond and his loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
Memorials may be given to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Funeral Meals Fund in Bryan, Texas.
