Alice Louise Soltis
October 27, 1935 – March25, 2014
Alice Soltis, 78, of College Station, went to be with her Lord on March 25, 2014. A time for family to receive friends will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Hillier Funeral Home, 2301 E. 29th Street in Bryan.
Alice was born on October 27, 1935 to Buck Golladay and Laura (Williams) Golladay in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was involved in numerous charities; Adapt of Texas being closest to her heart. Alice loved to read and she was a great counselor to her many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandchildren, Kristin and Ricky Soltis.
Alice is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Leroy Rocha; her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Kelle Soltis; grandchildren, Jeffrey Rocha and his wife Mindy, Julian Rocha, Brandee Kerr, Kala Thomas and her husband Keith and Jedadiah Rocha and her great-grandchildren, Jedidiah Rocha Jr., Emily and Madison Rocha, Julian Rocha Jr., Brandon Rocha, Wyatt Thomas, Alexis Gurka, Madison Soltis and Tyler Pitts. She also leaves behind her aunt Pauline Doss and family and cousins, Ray Campbell, Mary Ann Humpries and her daughters, Linda Armstrong and Renee Humpries, Caroline Houck and her children, Clarissa Rogers, Laura Cole and Kevin Stephens.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice Compassionate Care of the Brazos Valley and Johnnie Ludd. Johnnie was Alice’s coworker, loving friend and in her final few months, caregiver.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to Hospice Compassionate Care in Alice’s honor.
