Mary Ellen McCleney
June 8, 1932 – July 25, 2014
Mary, 82, of Bryan, went to be with her Lord on July 25, 2014. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Plantersville Cemetery at 11:00 am.
Mary was born on June 8, 1932 to Cassie (Attaway) and Ben Kirk in Plantersville, Texas. She graduated from Plantersville High School in Plantersville and received a degree in nursing from the University of Houston.
Mary was an active member of United Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, sewing, shopping and she was the biggest John Wayne fan, Mary also loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Oris A. McCleney.
Mary leaves behind children, Elaine Stafford, Carol Wayne McCleney and wife Kelley, Michael A. McCleney, Oris T. McCleney and wife Dorothy; 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one brother Arvil Kirk and wife Pat, numerous nieces and nephews.
