Johnie Ruth Hill, 86, of College Station, passed away on Thursday, August 27, in her home. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, August 31, at After The Rain Ministry Church, 401 Lawrence Street, in Bryan. A private interment is scheduled for Wednesday at Houston National Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory. Johnie was born to John and Gladys Ruth Tomlinson Smith in Abilene, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Voughan Hill and her parents. Johnie is survived by her daughters, Lillian Ruth Nelson and Kitty Irene Collins; her eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her 13 great-great-grandchildren; her brothers, Bobby Smith, Paul Smith, Dony Smith and Jimmy Smith; other relatives and friends.
